Big Smo “Kuntry Livin” [Album Review]
Warner Music Nashville
Release Date: 6.3.14
Review from: Miss Rainey Dae
Hello to our gorgeous Rebel Row family! Grab your Mason Jars, kick back and read up.
This new album should definitely be the anthem for both your wet, gritty, sun kissed summer days and your thirsty, smoky starry summer nights! It’s an absolute must to set the mood and get yourself shakin’ for every camping trip, weekend on the lake, big or small backwoods/ backyard BBQ or event you’re currently organizing this season!
Each track descriptively sings a story. Big Smo brings you right into his home and connects you with what’s essentially important to him. Family, “kinfoke”, respect, workin’, lovin’ and playin’ hard! Without neglecting the sexiness and rowdiness you might crave.
There are collaborations with parlously talented artists such as: Darius Rucker, Frankie Ballard, Alexander King and Haden Carpenter.
Personal favorite tracks: “Cover my Eyes” featuring Hayden Carpenter, as everyone can relate to the message in this song. Shows a sensitive and vulnerable side to his artistry. “Got Me” reminds me of just how sexy country music can really be! After listening to “Hick Ross” there’s no way to say the title without singing it how he does in the chorus. Smooth & smokey. “My Place” featuring Darius Rucker is light, catchy, and fun. Darius Rucker and Big Smo together drive you right into your summer so much you won’t want to leave. Easily a new favorite for many.
I’m positive you will be as enthusiastic as I am once this album fills your ears! I strongly encourage everyone to get their copy of “Kuntry Livin” right this minute!
In the near future prepare yourself for much much more from the “King of Hick Hop” he is sharing with all of us his family life, career life, and the beautiful Kuntry life with a new reality show “BIG SMO” premiering on A&E June 11th, 2014. 10:30pm PST/9:30pm CST -MRD
