McCoshMillRoadReviewstar_03Bubba Sparxxx is indubitably not neoteric to the rap/hip hop scene…. In fact he’s widely known across the country for his attractive 2005 hit with the Ying Yang Twins “Ms. New Booty” The track not only peaked at #3 on Billboard Records Rap Songs and it also hit #7 on Billboards Hot 100 of 2006. That same year in July the single was certified Gold by the Recording Industry Association of America….Impressive!

This new release feels as if Bubba is taking you on a personal cruise. He has taken the creative helm to his musical ship with this new album “Made On McCosh Mill Road” (affectionately titled after the area in GA that holds a key to the heart of his childhood memories.) This album is a paradisiacal blend of Southern Rap and Country! There are collaborations from a few of our Rebel Row favorites such as Danny Boone, D-Thrash of Jawga Boys, Redneck Souljers and Demun Jones.  Other Collabs feature, 14NI, Lamar Williams Jr, Kyle Cook and country newcomer JJ Lawhorn! Bubba has managed to continue his smooth flow with the rap and hip hop vibes throughout this album. However, his deep country roots have emerged and he shares with his listeners his gorgeous singing voice!

Personal Faves: “Made on McCosh Mill Road” feat. Danny Boone is the perfect opener for the album they both sound great together .”Past is Practice” feat. JJ Lawhorn is a truthful message is heard in this song and JJ really showcases his country talent for us. “Prolly Right” feat. 14NI I’m “prolly right” you’re going to love it! Super twangy rap. And lastly my favorite of the entire album is “Way Down South” feat. Danny Boone, Kyle Cook and Demun Jones. This song just has so much to offer, again with the twang, country and rap all wrapped in a blanket of fun and foot stomping!
