Millennium Entertainment and Mirabelle Pictures have debuted the new movie trailer and poster for “By The Gun” starring Slaine from La Coka Nostra, Ben Barnes, and Harvey Keitel online at https://screen.yahoo.com/movie-trailers-and-clips/gun-trailer-210810557.html. The film was directed by James Mottern and will land in theaters nationwide on December 5th, 2014.

“It’s crazy to have seen this project go from a script my friend Emilio Mauro wrote to getting a small budget together, attaching a stellar cast and now releasing it to the world,” commented Slaine. “I’ve always been a fan of the underdog and the power of the independent artist. This movie was built in that spirit. No frills, no bullshit.”

About By The Gun:

An homage to Sidney Lumet and the elevated gangster films of the 1970’s, By The Gun takes its cues from “Mean Streets”, “Before the Devil Knows Your Dead” and “Drive”. It’s a commercial film, classically told with great performances, compelling violence and action, broad appeal and poignant storytelling. But it’s singular, unusual and resonant. The film is about, Nick Tortano is a smooth-talking, ambitious criminal from the streets of Boston. After years spent working for and idolizing the Italian gangsters he finally proves himself to the boss and becomes a made man. However, once inside, Nick conflicts with a moneymaker for the Mafia and begins to drive a wedge between him and the boss.

Boston emcee Slaine recently dropped his new album “The King of Everything Else” and hit the Billboard charts upon release. For years, Slaine has exhaled eloquent and gritty tales through hip-hop, wrestling demons as an acclaimed solo rapper, and among fellow nihilists in the internationally heralded crew La Coka Nostra. “The King of Everything Else” boasts collaborations with Tech N9ne, Madchild, ILL BILL, Bishop Lamont, Vinnie Paz, Reks, Termanology, and more.
