Madchild Releases Video For “Devils And Angels” Produced By Evidence
With his “Silver Tongue Devil” album due out July 24th, BattleAxe Warrior Madchild teams up with Evidence from Dilated Peoples on their Drew Kirsch directed video for their joint track “Devils and Angels”, which is posted online at https://youtu.be/rVmHkUEDaIE. The song is available as an instant download for fans that pre-order the album on iTunes online at http://bit.ly/SilverTongueDeviliTunes. Madchild’s new album “Silver Tongue Devil” will surface on Battle Axe Records and will feature collaborations with Evidence, Slaine, Demrick and JD Era.
“When I was putting together the album I thought that it needed to at least have one beat from Evidence on there. We’re doing a whole album together, so I reached out and he gave me the thumbs up,” said Madchild. “There is a real chemistry when Evidence and I work together and he just pushes me to be the very best emcee I can be, from the lyrics I write, to the way I deliver it. One of his famous quotes is, ‘It’s not just about where you put the words, but where you don’t,’ and he maliciously examines every part of a song. Drew Kirsch came up with the striking visuals for the video and it just works perfectly for this song.”
Madchild has carefully crafted every aspect of “Silver Tongue Devil” from the artwork, down to the handwritten graffiti style fonts that are used in the album’s linear notes. To construct the visual look for the album, Madchild commissioned legendary street artist L’Amour Supreme to create the cover art. The striking image conveys the attitude, style, tone, and feel of the music contained on “Silver Tongue Devil”. The imagery is meant to captivate the listener and convey the essence of the music as it catapults fans inside the mind of the Canadian born emcee. “Silver Tongue Devil” record is available for pre-order online at www.Bit.ly/BattleaxeOfficial with a limited edition t-shirt from Mishka NYC.
Madchild is building off the success of his recently released “Switched On” EP, which debuted at #1 on the Billboard Rap Chart. Upon the album’s release, Madchild hit the road on a non-stop tour that took him around the globe hitting Europe, Australia and the United States, before heading out across Canada with the newest Battle Axe signee Demrick. After his relentless tour schedule came to an end, Madchild hit the studio to record the brand new Supreme Villain song “The Enemy” with Slaine for The “GirlHouse” movie soundtrack.
Madchild is set to hit the road for a series of headlining shows in support of “Silver Tongue Devil” later this summer, including an appearance at the 2015 Monster Energy Aftershock Festival in Sacramento, CA with Slipknot, Deftones, Shinedown, and Yelawolf.
